Whether you are shopping for a small backyard show, a community event, or an embellishement for your special occasion, the questions you'll confront are always the same:

• How will I know what the fireworks do?
• Are they any good?
• How do they fit together to make the best show?
• Am I paying a fair price?

 Our team at Holy Smoke Fireworks makes it a mission to answer these questions by wading through the myriad of products flooding the Canadian market each year.  We conduct an annual test show, using a proven formula that gets results:

• We engage a panel of about ten people who love fireworks.
• We set up equipment to film the results of our test show.

• Before we fire each product, we inform our panel of the product's price.

• During the detonation phase, our panel considers the price and the quality of the effect before giving either a thumbs up or a thumbs down on each item they see.
• To finish, we study carefully the film footage of each product that received a favourable response.  These "positive" products are then added to our product list.

Now bearing our test show process in mind, let's consider those essential questions again:

• How will I know what the fireworks do? →We'll tell you!  We've studied them closely.
• Are they any good?  →A panel of at least ten fireworks enthusiasts plus the Holy Smoke crew thought so, so the odds are, you'll like them, too.
• How do they fit together to make the best show? →We provide you with our expertise in designing an effective firing plan.
• Am I paying a fair price?  →Our panel thinks that each item approved is worth the money,  otherwise we drop them from our line-up.
  

So we've answered the essential questions, but there's still one question that needs to be addressed: What would you like and how much help will you need to get what you want?

To reach your destination, you have five paths to choose from:

1. The Bombs Away Approach. Examine our site's written and graphic descriptions. Select what you like. Blow them up and be happy. They're all good!
2. The Artiste Approach. Design a show for yourself, using our written and graphic descriptions. Share your ideas with us and together we can choreograph your selections to maximize their potential.
3. The Kit 'n' Kaboodle Approach. We have a series of kits, which more accurately put are choreographed shows, designed to provide a variety of coordinated effects that move logically from the opening attention-getter to the impressive finale. These shows range in price from $27 for the kiddies to $1,000 for the really big kiddies with many stops in between. Each kit comes with a suggested firing order, a description of each effect, safety recomendations plus free fuse lighters.
4. The S.O.S. Approach. You know little or nothing about fireworks, are not particularly inclined to learn, but you need them anyway. Drop us a line or call, outlining your budget with a description of what you'd like, and we will make the process easy and your results satisfying.
5. The Self-Firing Community Show Approach. If you represent a community, be it a municipality, a camp or a group of neighbours, a fifth option worth inquiring about is our "Self-Firing Community Show." These larger scale choreographed spectacles come with a site plan for laying out your fireworks plus all of the additional details you need to conduct your own safe and satisfying community show. This method has proven to be successful and a lot of fun for camps and municipalities in Ontario, Manitoba and Quebec. By empowering themselves with knowledge and support, all of our community show customers have been very pleased with what they were able to accomplish for themselves.

►Jeff looked to his right, just over the property line of his neighbour, Buddy's yard.
